General Accountability

Looking for an experienced Sales Agronome (agr.) to join our growing team in the unique agricultural region of Timiskaming. This role combines technical expertise with relationship building primarily in our Quebec farming communities.
This Sales Agronomist position works directly with the location manager to provide agronomic and crop production solutions for our farm customers. By providing superior agronomic advice, the incumbent will help our farm customers make profitable production decisions for their business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive crop nutrition and protection programs for cash crops common to the Timiskaming region
  • Guide producers through evolving regulations on both sides of the provincial border
  • Provide expert recommendations on soil health, fertility management, and sustainable farming practices
  • Support farmers with timely agronomic advice throughout the growing season
  • Maintain strong relationships with producers while growing our service territory
  • Stay current with regional agricultural research and new product developments

Required Qualifications

  • Active CCA designation or Quebec Agronome (preferred) status or significant technical experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
  • Proven experience in agricultural sales and technical support
  • Deep understanding of Timiskaming agriculture and local growing conditions
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec and Ontario agricultural regulations
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region
  • Experience with soil testing interpretation and fertility recommendations

Note: Position runs for 8-10 weeks during peak summer season. Some weekend work may be required based on weather and delivery schedules.
